    This article explains how to generate a report of all macOS devices in your tenant and filter it to identify which ones are using the App Store version of the Twingate Client.

     

    Step 1: Generate the Device Report

    1. In the Admin Console, go to the Devices page (under the Devices tab).

    2. Select Download at the top of the device table.

    3. Under Report Type, choose Active, then select Generate Report.

    4. When the report is ready, you will receive an email notification.

    5. In the Admin Console, open the Reports section (under Settings) and download the generated report.

    Step 2: Prepare the Report File

    1. Locate the downloaded report on your device and unzip it.

    2. Open the CSV file in a spreadsheet tool such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any equivalent editor.

      • If the file does not have a .csv extension, you may add it manually.

    Step 3: Filter for App Store macOS Clients

    Inside the spreadsheet:

    1. Filter by OS platform → select macOS only.

    2. Filter by Client version → exclude any versions that end with “+sa”.

      • Versions ending in “+sa” represent stand-alone Clients, not App Store Clients.

    After applying these filters, the remaining rows represent only App Store–installed macOS Clients in your tenant.
