[Windows] How To Generate a Windows System Report

Overview

This article describes how to obtain the output of the Microsoft Windows System Information tool.

Process

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type: sys
2. Click on the System Information app which will appear on screen.
3. Click on File, then on Save, which will open the Save As dialogue window.
4. Select a name and location you wish to save to - usually the desktop.
5. This file can be compressed together with any other logs that were requested.
