Uninstalling the Twingate macOS Client
To uninstall the Twingate macOS Client, simply quit the Application and drag it to the Bin.
Alternatively, right-click on the application and select 'Move to Bin'.
If you are uninstalling the Standalone Client which includes the System Extension, this process will also remove the System Extension. When prompted, click 'Continue'.
Removing the Twingate System Extension (required for the Standalone Client running on macOS 15.3 and higher)
Apple introduced a bug in macOS 15.3 which orphans the System Extension even though it appears to have removed it. If you are uninstalling the Standalone Client from macOS 15.3 or higher, please follow the additional instructions below to manually delete the System Extension after moving the application to the Bin.
- Got to: System Settings -> General -> Login Items & Extensions
- Click on the information button next to 'Network Extensions'
- Click on the three dots next to Twingate and select 'Delete Extension'
- Click 'Uninstall' and enter an admin username and password
- The extension should now be removed.
